I have an 808, 909 and SH-101 synced perfectly with a Doepfer MSY2 Midi->DinSync converter and normal midi cables. The midi cables must have all 5 Pins connected to work, normally only 3 are though because connecting all 5 pins can cause ground problems with some midi interfaces and is against the Midi specification!. Mine worked accidentally though most probably cause they where pretty cheap one from www.thomann.de . Din Sync cables are much more usually. I connected a midi out from my PC with the MSY2 in-->808 Din Sync input and 909 Din Sync input and the 101 get's trigged my the 909 rimshot (duh!)
