Hi Richard,

There isn't really anywhere where you can obtain direct replacement pots for
the TB303. Probably every Roland spares centre have run out now. I'm in the
UK and I do TB303 repairs. The last pot I got was a resonance potentiometer
from Roland Scandinavia, the last they had (I even got some spare CPUs from
there! :-) . Nobody manufacturers a direct replacement. So unless you're
lucky enough to find someone who has spares and they are willing to part
with them, replacing them is a big problem. Mounting some totally different
potentiometers into the 303 using a purpose made aluminium support is
usually the best solution. However, the existing potentiometers can usually
be revived by carefully opening them up and gently cleaning. Broken tracks
inside the pot can even be repaired using silver conductive paint (I've done
this in mine, works pretty well).

But exactly how do you mean it doesn't have the same 'punch' that it used
to? Are the pots definately scratchy or noisy when you rotate them? I'm
asking because maybe there's something entirely different that's causing
your 303 to malfunction, rather than the pots. If certain pots are indeed
scratchy, which ones? Some are easier to repair / replace than others.

Trevor
