Did you press "Time Mode" and then program a timing of the notes you've programmed (1/2, 1/4, 1/8 notes) ??  Then press "Function" and then Play...?????  Forget about the slides, accent, and transpose for the moment.
Besides hearing no sound after pressing play, everything else seems normal.  Maybe you have a bad jack??

But Hey,
Maybe it's the volume ?? (ha, ha, ha)

Subject: [TB-303.org] What am I missing?

Hey guys,

I just received my 303 in the mail (bought it over the net)

Unpacked it, read the manual and started programming my first pattern.

I stepped through the PITCH (I heard the 303 engine)

Worked through the note lengths

I stepped through the slides, transpose and accents.

If I push start in pattern write, nothing plays, I stopped it. I switch it to pattern play, hit start and still nothing plays.

I can step through my sequence using the tap button and I can hear the sequence as I programmed it!!??

When I turn off the play button (while not hearing anything) a note rings out as I hit it (a bit like a midi keyboard would do)

I also tried the PITCH – FUNCTION then 16 presses of the STEP button the set the sequence length but still no joy . . .

Am I missing a step or something or is my baby damaged?

Cheers,

paakwaan
