What we are identifying is the following: Many of you simply seek one thing. The primary purpose you joined the group, not off-topic problems in doing so. However, what we are seeing are many obstacles. Many of you are simply pulling your hair out of your heads just trying to use your computer or deal with technical problems involving your computer, ISP, or other issues. This is no good. And yes, I can understand your hesitance to ask questions in fear or guilt of posting off-topic questions. I am getting bombarded on a daily basis with these types of technical questions which many feel are obstacles in being able to get down to basics. I will be announcing this to all of my groups as something like a technical support forum to answer these questions which you may otherwise feel awkward asking. The questions and answers I will answer and address can be the following: * subscribing, unsubscribing, and subscription modification * installing and using chat software and the chat client * any technical questions regarding your computer hardware, software, operating system, ISP, internet connection, etc. * browser use, including upgrades and issues. * privacy, safety, and security issues * viruses, hacker concerns, and spamming problems * computer and browser lockups and crashes * any other issues or questions about any of the websites or groups and lists I operate If any of the above problems have been troubling you, let's get them solved so you can get back on track.
