Since, my hobby was not always appreciated by these poor souls so I created a list for "permission spamming" of the news and links I find of interest called Nexus N.V.I.M. (News, Views & Issues to Muse). Nexus was founded in the year 2000 (under a different name heh heh as many of the original subscribers are painfully aware of) and remains as a 'news aggregation' zine of choice. Although much of the headline gathering process is from other lists and links that I subscribe to, an actual human editor still makes the final choices and also enjoys gathering other more elliptic and obscure news and "postworthy" features from various other favorite sites and sources of preference. This helps make Nexus NVIM one of the best places to find news for insatiable link addicts and newshounds! Headline news is nice but I prefer to let the big wig sites clamor for the breaking big news bragging rights as they have the latest technology, people power and resources to duke it out with each other for this distinction. Nexus NVIM prefers to collect stories of interest from beyond the often over killed headlines or latest major media fascination. Sure, I like current events as much as the next person, however, there is much more that the net has to offer than just a major mainstream news source and that is where Nexus aims to find it's niche in the cyber community. Regular Topics will include Current Events, Headline Follow-up, Essays, Opinion, Offbeat News, Issues and an Online Review.
