Honeybees have a type of hair on their eyes! ---------------------------------------------------------------- GOLDEN HOUR DAY - - - ----------------- At one time, and I will again, I used to fool around with a guitar, attempting to play a little music. I am, of course, forever grateful my family never tried to put me into a staight jacket or lock me in the garage, I was that awful, but I had fun. One thing I always found neat was the relationship between music and mathematics. I no sooner completed a bar or two I thought was great but - bang - the next note or bar was there needing to be played, the timing was mathematical. At times it seemed relentless, the next note needed attention. Of course professional players know and understand this and indeed use it to create their own rendition of a song. What I find interesting lately is that when you create a plan and begin to work on it the same thing occurs. Here, at THE PEBBLE, this week we have been under amazing deadlines just because we set goals for ourselves and they are now being realized even before we were ready for them. (For those of you who have read Don't Get Rich - Get Wise! you will recognize this as the powers of the universe coming to your aid.) It does not matter how much I know and understand the laws of the universe or the laws of success I still find myself amazed at how quickly and easily things come together when you have laid out a plan and started to work it. Working as we do to bring you sound and relavent information daily to aid you in your success we also are now putting together new courses, new books and new tools that we know will work with absolute certainty. Our philosophy is that if we know beyond any question a product or service will work for us then we feel free to offer it to you knowing that you, too, will be successful by using it. So, we never put anything on the market unless it works for us first. Gee! It sure is nice to have a series of product and services that are that terrific. Enough babble! I was only observing out loud how some things have hit us this week. Another thing that amazes me is the complete efficiency and speed of the internet. We were missing an article in one of our issues this week and so we called the writer. Within fifteen minutes the article was in our hands, in THE PEBBLE and on its way to our readership. We sure couldn't do that in the old days, even with faxes. Look to THE PEBBLE in the coming weeks and months. You will see some real neat things happening. They won't be amazing, nothing like sending a spaceship to the moon. However what you will see, soon, will be products you can use with certainty to create success with certainty. How is that for tweeking your imagination? Now that I have reviewed my week in public I am going to go into my Golden Hour with a deep sense of gratitude that I have been so fortunate. Take the time to take your Golden Hour. It is so vital to your prosperous future I will do anything to encourage you to take this step. ---------------------------------------------------------------- COMPUTER TIPS - - - ------------------------- SETTING VIRTUAL MEMORY! Cache is a term used for storing frequently request pages or data. In most PCs, the computer chip, RAM and Virtual Memory of your hard drive cache information and it is brought up faster than the data can if it is being requested from the Internet or your hard drive. Virtual Memory Virtual memory is a reserved space allocated in your hard drive. Say your computer did not come with the ability to use virtual memory and you had 32 megs of actual RAM in your computer and your application is a resource hog, your computer would crawl or complain that you need to shut down some applications. Using virtual memory, your computer's chip would examine the RAM to see what areas you are not using and copy that information into the virtual memory space of your hard drive. This allows your RAM to load a new application or more data. This happens so quickly that you don't even realize it is happening. There are several ways to access this area, but one is by going to: Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/ Advanced/Performance Options (This is specifically for Windows 2000. However, it is similar in other Windows Operating Systems.) Note: It is best to configure your virtual memory so that the Max and Min of your virtual memory is the same (200 MB is good). Otherwise, where the information is placed changes and your hard drive needs to spin a few more nanoseconds in order to get to it. Additionally, it would not be wise to set up your virtual memory and ignore the amount of actual RAM you have. The data requested is often small and your computer's hard drive's read/write speed is much slower than your actual RAM. I cry at ridiculous things, become depressed at things that never bothered me so much. Worse, I feel like the walking dead so much of the time. I am not personally related to anyone who met their unfortunate demise by this horror, but I know a few others who were directly affected. I hate this sense of feeling so powerless over my emotions. What do you suggest? I am "Miserable" VENUS RESPONSE: First of all, don't feel alone. September 11th brought us all to our knees. What we witnessed was brutality the likes of which is beyond the realm of our comprehension. I know several people who were stuck on "autopilot" for weeks. They, too, hadn't lost anyone but were shattered nonetheless. It's obvious you are experiencing some deepseated problems for which you should seek outside help. I am so sympathetic to your feelings but you must get them under control before they do more damage. Afterwards, maybe you could volunteer your services where you might be able to more positively express how you feel. MARS RESPONSE: I'm with Venus on this. September 11 hit more people deeper than we know. Do not be embarrassed about seeking help and do so now. You are not alone - others have similar feelings.
