She is a person with a purpose. Born in Pennsylvania, Ellen is one of six siblings born to parents who immigrated from Germany. She and her husband have five children, plus a dog named Samson.. Educated to become a teacher, Ellen works part-time teaching Pre-K at a school her youngest attends. About 5 years ago, she developed a serious interest in the natural health field. Her teenage daughter initially brought a computer into their household. Ellen began experimenting making web pages, a fascination that lead her to learning HTML. Later, her family decided to get a webtv, which she "played around on for about a year". She started to entertain the thought of having an online business, since she was already home with a baby. Requiring more versatility, they purchased a new computer, and she began designing web pages for her church and personal use. Now she mainly uses it for emailing "and work related projects." Occasionally, however, she also uses the computer to research on the Internet or to shop. To Ellen, the best thing about the Internet is discovering how friendly people are and how willing they are to provide help. The worst is one many might agree with: "the unsolicited Porn delivered to not only adults�, but also children's mailboxes." Ellen has a wonderful philosophy concerning life: To her, "it's too short to waste time being hateful or resentful, so Let Go and Let God!" She �s equally dedicated to her ethic concerning work: "Hard Work, Persistence and a Positive Attitude are needed to reach your Goals." Ellen's definition of success is making a difference in the lives of many people, either financially or in some other way. Her mentor is Max S., and feels he has been the most positive influence in her life with his daily motivations "that drive me forward even when I am feeling down." For those just starting out, Ellen feels being in it for the money Is not enough. "Undoubtedly you will fail, there has to be a higher cause, so find something you love and that you would do even if you didn't get paid for it." From the context menu, select Properties, and the Display Properties window appears. Select the "Appearance" tab by clicking on it once. Select the "Active Title Bar" from the "Item:" drop down list. Adjust the font size, color, bold, or italics using the selectors to the right of the font box. Click Apply to see how things will look, then OK to put the Display Properties dialog box away. Before closing the Display Properties window, you can save your setup as a "scheme". Click the "Save As..." button, and give you new setup a name. Then you can select it from the list you'll see under "Scheme:" next time you want to fiddle around a bit. The Save As button will give you a "Save this color scheme as" window... you may not have a color scheme, but any changes you make will be called such. So they should have named this box "Save scheme as" instead of "Save color scheme as"... You can fiddle with any of the options in this window to create exactly the appearance you desire. Today at my job one of the directors brought in her son and daughter. I have no problem with that. My annoyance is due to the fact that she introduced all us to her children by our first names. Yet, when she introduced them to her own supervisor she said to her children, "And this is Miss _____". First of all, I was raised that children do not call adults by their first names, but I also realize some of this has gone by the wayside. On the other hand, why were the rest of us introduced so informally and the boss got the respect? Maybe I'm making too much of this but the truth is I'm furious and terribly insulted. There's probably very little you can do about this without causing future problems for yourself.
