--------------- Traineeship at Cedefop library The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) is an Agency of the European Union and located in Thessaloniki, Greece. Twice a year, Cedefop offers five-month periods of in-service training for young university graduates or public sector employees from the Member States of the European Union and a number of nationals of non-member countries. These training periods involve work experience in one of the departments of the Centre. For the period March to July 2006 Cedefop is seeking to recruit a TRAINEE for its Library and Documentation department. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Under the supervision of a librarian, the successful candidate will be expected to evaluate and reorganise the authority lists of the Integrated Library System (authors, publishers, corporate sources lists) FORMAL REQUIREMENTS To be considered eligible, applicants must: Have a diploma in Information Sciences, Librarianship, Documentation or relevant. Be a citizen from one of the EU Member States Have a thorough knowledge of English and a satisfactory knowledge of another language of the Communities.
