Responsibilities

In this position, you will be part of the European Health Research and
Innovation (HRI) group in Digital Health and will be managing the Interaction
Design and Innovation Team based in Dublin, Ireland.  You will be recruiting,
hiring, and managing a European design, research and prototyping team to help
invent, embody, and test new product concepts, strategies, and capabilities for
healthcare from the hospital to the home. Your responsibilities will include but
not be limited to:
- Working closely with the Social Science and Systems Engineering teams in HRI
- Reporting in to the HRI Interaction Design & Innovation Group and serving as
the main point of contact for Europe
- Delivering innovative concepts, prototypes, and designs in healthcare
 Qualifications
 You must possess a Bachelor, Master of Science degree and/or Ph.D. in
Industrial Design, User Center Design, Interaction Design, Product Design or
equivalent with 10 years industry experience.  Additional qualifications
include:
- A strong and demonstrated background in developing and managing creative
design teams doing rapid prototyping and concept design and/or development,
especially from user-centered and ethnographic perspectives
- Ability to manage and speak about diverse skill sets: interaction design,
hardware design, user interface design, product design, graphical design,
industrial design, and related areas
- Experience with Healthcare devices, products and services
- Strong public speaking skills (both about design process and/or methodology
and healthcare topics), for conferences, customer meetings, and press
interviews
- Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team of diverse, creative individuals,
including interaction designers, interface designers, graphic artists,
industrial designers, mechatronics engineers, product design and human factors
engineers
- Proven track record of working well with social scientists and systems
engineers to help move concepts from exploratory fieldwork to pre-product
prototypes that can be tested with real people
- Expertise in developing healthcare related concepts, prototypes, or products
would be an added advantage
