An opportunity has arisen for an associate to join this KTP under the supervision of usability experts at TVU. The appointed candidate will work at SMI's premises in central Oxford and contribute to the development of software for medical systems by making more usable designs that meet the requirements of medical staff. SMI is based in a friendly open-plan office in the centre of Oxford very close to the train and bus stations. The applicants must have 2.1 Degree in Computing, ideally with major or postgraduate studies in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) or a 2.1 Degree in Psychology with postgraduate qualification in HCI. Proven experience of Software engineering, with good background in HCI and graphical design are required. It is desirable for the associate to have experience of having applied UCD processes to software development. The package includes a good base salary, a technical and personal training allowance, the opportunity to achieve a higher research degree. In addition to this, you will register for NVQ Level 4 in Management. This position will involve some travelling to the US and Europe.
