have u tried copying the code from a page were it works propery and put it instead of the code tat makes the page resize and then go back to normal???

Sort of, we know that it occurs on all pages that have that menu across
the top of the content, virtually everything below the top level.. I
chose that page as the table changing size is really obvious but it
occurs everywhere, that's why I suspect the style sheet as that is a
common item across it all.

    Hello everyone,

The site listed below is a client site, we host it but did not develop
it. The Client has noticed that in Firefox 1.5 when you click on a
    link
in the menu at the top of the content then the pages does a
    sort-of page
resize or slip-sideways for a moment and then comes good again. They
have asked us to have a look as the original developers are long gone.
A good example of the effect is the page shown in the link below:

    http://www.reia.com.au/media/updatearchive.asp

If you click on the menu item for the same page, REIA Update Archives,
you can see the table resize (shrink) itself as you click and then go
back to normal as the page reloads.

I am guessing that the styling for the active link is wrong in
    some way
but it is not obvious so I am asking for help.

I know that the site is table based and does not validate, in fact
    it is
a horrible mess, but I cannot see any errors in that area that would
    cause this resizing effect.

    Anyone?
