I am currently working on a site and noticed that when I use the specified access keys (ex. alt+2) it only works in the firefox browser (as in, it only goes to the page the link is directed to). In IE it moves down to the particular link within the same page where it specify the access key (it acts like an anchor) and in Opera absolutely nothing happens This is a first, either that or I just haven't paid attention to that before.- [mins later... oh it works differently in Opera]

This is intended behaviour in IE. Pressing the access key shortcut focuses the link or control. You need to then press Enter to activate it.

In Firefox, it focuses and activates in one step. It's not broken, just different!

The IE method gives the user the chance to check and confirm their action.

Hope this helps

Cheers
