IIRC, there's a simpler way to do that. In web developer's toolbar
under Tools, select "Validate Local HTML" (it's at the bottom of the
list). No cutting/pasting/saving new files required.

As I said in my first email, I've tried this and it doesn't work (only validates the HTML code before any ajax element has been made active).
