I have asked "UrRemote", a group of Indonesian university IT students, to see if deploying a web based humanitarian emergency management system is feasible for the Mount Merapi eruption.

The draft of their report "Deploying Sahana For The Merapi Eruption" is available at <http://urremote.com/index.php/Deploying_Sahana_For_The_Merapi_Eruption>. This will be finalized within 24 hours.

Your comments and contributions would be most welcome. The report is being done as a WiKi, so you can add content yourself, as well as take part put comments under the discussion tab.

ps: This work is being sponsored by the Communications Technologies Board of the Australian Computer Society, as part of its commitment to the wider community to ensure the beneficial use of ICT.
