I would like to thank all who answered to this question. I've learned a lot.
Nevertheless, despite how enlightening the article by Rick Schaut was about the origins and true intentionality of the hungarian notation, I think that the use of this notation, in JavaScript or any other weakly-typed languages, both to express the "language type" of a variable or its "functional type", is something that can contribute to avoid errors and provide consistency to the code. I will continue to use it in JavaScript. I really didn't make my mind yet about ActionScript 2.0, but if I use it I will try to do it in a "functional way".
