Thank you Georg, In this case the CSS and Html is nothing to do with me - this client hired a professional designer. I've fixed some of the designer's mistakes, but I didnt get paid for that part of the job - I am going to let him carry the can for it.
It's just that this is causing issues that I'm looking to fix it. IN fact I think it's a open source design that the professional designer has picked up from a public gallery and adapted. I hate to ask how much he got paid for it. Thanks for your suggestion.
