Trying to educate myself more on the accessibility guidelines, I came across an online tool called HERA: http://www.sidar.org/hera/ . It validates as much as it can automatically and then gives a list of the manual checks needed. What is nice about this tool is each manual step is documented and it will also highlight the areas to check in your page as a popup.
