Sorry, I realise that wasn't sent to me Al (despite being part of
the 'open' forum it was sent out on) - but I am going to have to
respond to this just on the grounds of HATING people who think
themselves so important that they have the right to say the above! I
had to leave the Freelancers forum because there were so many
pretentious tossers who used to end their posts with "... and that's
the end of the matter" ... who ARE you people? Absolutely remarkable
... do you do that in real life? If you are in the pub having a
discussion, do you end your 'preaching' with " ... and let THAT be
an end to it" and run off to the gents for a smoke?
I come to these places to learn and luckily I do meet some genuinely
talented people who are successful in this trade and for that I
guess it's all worth it - but by god there are some tossers in these
places.
There is lots to learn here. The sentence of mine that you quoted
above was genuinely made in the interest of preempting a potential
personal tete de tete, which are never productive or informative. I'm
not sure why you attacked me, but you would probably be better off if
you focused on picking up tips and ideas instead of personal
assessments. Electronic communication is known sometimes not be the
best way to judge intent.
