Sounds fair, I would say "Tough luck!" then, since the pages validate and
the browsers choose not to display it properly. If the users complain I'll
tell them "sorry, but we did everything by the books, look at your browser,
get rid of it and change to PC ;-)".

Only you can answer that question. It's your business, you need to determine
how many visitors/potential clients you have that use Macs and whether
you're likely to lose them by not fixing the problems.
