That's the thing, it seems, about Microformats. The biggest hangup at the beginning is thinking they are more complex than they are. I first thought that you had to make sure all the <div>s and <span>s and whatnot were in line with all the examples I saw.

Then I later found out that it's seriously JUST class names. That's it!

You still can :) Just apply the relevant class to the data's parent
object - in this case, the <dd>, e.g.

<dt>Phone:</dt>
<dd class="tel">01234 456 789</dd>

And no, you don't need to use an address element here.
