As an example of the kind of empty talk I'm tired of, yes. That
statement doesn't say "who" these people are or where they said it.
They know who they are and they generally take it off list, which I, and
others who have felt the backlash, found offensive.

They may well be right, but their fanatical pursuit of those that are
still learning the "how" of standards adherence can, as the original OP
pointed out, be counter productive.
