Patrick asked I was wondering if anybody on the list here has been using it at
all?
Done a test install, been having a little play in the past couple of weeks. A more serious installation due in a month or so. And further, how accessible is the admin interface itself (not the
output of the system)?
If you read the documentation throughly, you find out you need a java enabled browser. No java, and can not navigate the asset map, which you need to do to select assets - to create, modify, delete etc. (in other words you can not do anything) You also appear to need a mouse to navigate the assest map.. In other words the admin interface is not really accessible. MySource Matrix is open source, but has a number of commercial extensions available from Squiz as well as implementation, support and service agreements. Squiz does the development of MySource Matrix and has a large number of government departments (both federal and state) as clients. So requests from these clients that the admin interface needs to be accessible will be probably have a positive result. Not on the current MySource Matrix, but on the next major implementation which is on the drawing board for release in 18 months or so.
