Very simple really. Though you will note this issue only really
exists with safari. Firefox for mac has standard windows style
widgets, and I'm not sure what the situation in camino is, but it has
the same rendering engine as firefox so I imagine it's pretty similar.
Camino, Opera and iCab for Mac behave like Safari. FF is the only one
that is liberal with form controls.
