I did a similar layout (in the content area) months ago with the same
technique by using table, table-row and table-cell for a site. I
mistaken that the layout is almost flawless because the content in
the outer left column is shorter, therefore no matter how big the
font-size enlarges, I was always able to get the equal heights effect.
Was creating a similar layout to want to show people about this
technique, did I realize it's far from perfect.

If you click 'open' in the outer left column, it get expanded and you
can clearly see the inner column couldn't adjust its height
Is there a fix?
Don't bother to check it from IE browsers, I haven't get to that
point yet.
