Asian Web Design For Charity!

Joining events in London[1] and San Francisco[2], the web standards
focussed @media 2007 Asia[3] will be the first event of its kind to be
held in the continent, and aims to make money for charity by donating
all of its profits to Oxfam Hong Kong[4] and WWF China[5].

Taking place in Hong Kong on 31st May and 1st June, speakers including
Andy Budd, Molly Holzschlag, Jeremy Keith, and Dave Shea will help to
raise the awareness and teach the application of best practices in
modern web design in an area of the world that is slightly behind the
likes of North America and Europe in its community participation and
adoption of web standards.

As well as attracting attendees, to encourage participation a Call For
Papers[6] hopes to attract up and coming best practice designers and
developers from the area to take part.

Specially reduced price tickets are available until Tuesday February
27th, as are discounts for students, and a referral program that will
give away one free ticket for every five successful registrations referred.
