The primary criteria for applicants is that they are experienced with, and
passionate about building web technology. We are looking to fill two roles:

1. Web Developer
Primary skills: HTML, CSS, Javascript, browser compatibility. Role: Your
primary role will be working within Bluetree to build and implement
front-ends for websites and systems.

2. Web Application Developer
Primary skills: Java or ColdFusion (or good experience with other
languages), MS SQL Server. Role: Your primary role will be working on the

Catalyst Interactive in Canberra are looking for a solid mid/senior
multimedia designer. In brief, this is a spectacular opportunity for the
right kind of multimedia designer.

Working at Catalyst allows alot of scope for high quality design work, and
its recent acquisition by KBR will open doors to some very large scale
projects - definitely not the normal kind of work you'd see in Canberra.

The work:
 - Interfaces for html based e-learning products (design concepts in
Photoshop/Fireworks, produce sliced graphics to hand over to the content
developers)
- UI, screens and interactions for Flash based e-learning products (This is
becoming a bigger part of Catalyst's work)
 - Mentoring a small but growing multimedia design team
 - Providing estimates/quotes for the Project Managers

The conditions: 
The package would be in the range of $55K to $70K depending on experience.
Catalyst has about 40 staff in its office at Fyshwick, and was recently
acquired by KBR, a large US company. The Multimedia team at Catalyst are
well supported by Instructional Designers, Content Developers and Project
Managers.

The prospects: It's a great time to join Catalyst - the company is about to

user-centred design consulting services to Government and the private

in Australasia.   We are looking for a skilled Usability Consultant to work
in our Canberra office.
 
We require an enthusiastic, passionate, self-starter who has a proven
history of undertaking a lead role in major project work and with experience
in many facets of usability including:
- Analysis techniques including focus groups, expert (heuristic)
evaluations, benchmarking, requirements definition
- Workflow and process improvement
- Information architecture, including card sorting
- Strong interaction design experience
- Design techniques including collaborative design and usability testing
- Good presentation skills

Key to this role will be the ability to hit the ground running on new
projects and work independently. You need to be a good communicator with a
flair for dealing with the customer. Good report writing skills are
essential as is your capacity to meet deadlines.
 
The successful applicant MUST:
- Have a minimum 5 years experience in usability or related discipline
- Have a permit to work in Australia
