Salary: $53k to $63k per annum
Lake Macquarie City Council is a progressive, community-oriented service
organisation.  Located at the northern tip of beautiful Lake Macquarie, we
are the fourth largest local council in NSW.  The Council already uses the
web as a communication and service delivery tool - but we plan to do so much
more! We are looking for a talented and creative web designer to join our
cross-disciplined web team.  This is an exciting opportunity to be involved
in the design and development of a wide variety of projects.  You will be
working with technologies such as XHTML, CSS, Javascript and AJAX, XML, XSLT
and Microsoft .Net while adhering to industry standards, best practice, and
accessibility guidelines.  Your web graphic design skills will also be
highly valued. Candidates will have industry experience with web-based
systems or have relevant tertiary qualifications.  We will consider
undergraduates who are currently progressing toward their qualification.
This is an excellent opportunity to step into the web industry. Applications
must be accompanied by a portfolio of your work ­ either in PDF format or on
your personal web site.
