Merhaba, 1. Ben ODTÜ Enformatik Enstitüsü Siber Güvenlik Anabilim Dalı'nda yüksek lisans eğitimine devam etmekteyim. Halihazırda "INTERNET PROTOCOL SECURITY (IPSEC) ON EMBEDDED DEVICES" konulu tez çalışmasını Prof.Dr.Nazife Baykal ve Yrd.Doç.Dr.Tolga Yalçın hocalarımızın danışmanlığında yürütmekteyim. Tez konusunun özeti aşağıda belirtilmektedir.

Yapacağımız çalışmanın sadece akademik olarak kağıtlarda kalmasını istemeyen bizler, *bu alanda çalışan firmaların gereksinimlerini tespit edip, ihtiyaçlarını karşılayacak bir tez çalışması* ile bilgi sistem camiasına katkı sağlamayı hedefliyoruz. 3. *Bu kapsamda, tez konumuz ile ilgili alanda çalışma yapan firmalarla bağlantı kurmak istiyoruz*. Selahattin Polat Yüksek Lisans Öğrencisi ODTÜ Enformatik Enstitüsü Siber Güvenlik Anabilim Dalı iletişim: [email protected] Thesis Title - INTERNET PROTOCOL SECURITY (IPSEC) ON EMBEDDED DEVICES Thesis Abstract - Widespread deployment of mobile and embedded devices in every day use has brought up not only new concepts and application areas such as Internet-of-Things (IoT) but also several security and privacy problems. On the larger scale Internet domain, lots of these problems can be mitigated with the use of Internet Protocol Security (IPSec). However, limited resources and processing power on the embedded devices makes the use of existing IPSec implementations practically impossible. In this thesis, we will start by investigating the suitability and adaptability of the underlying protocols and algorithms of IPSec with embedded devices. We will then select a minimal but efficient subset and implement a lightweight IPSec suite suitable for such devices. In our implementation, we will target the very low-end embedded devices and support the main IPSec protocols of Authentication Header (AH), Encapsulating Security Payload (ESP), and Internet Key Exchange (IKE).
