There should be an IMemberLookup local utility at the portal level.
Can you check "utilities" in your zmi under your portal to see if it's
there?
It's supposed to get installed there from the importVarious function
setuphandlers.py

From the error, it looks like you have to run a migration to update
your existing mailing lists.
You should be able to navigate to /migrate_listen_mailing_lists on
your portal as a manager, which should run the migration:
http://host:port/portal/migrate_listen_mailing_lists
This should take care of the rest. Let us know if this doesn't help.

Plone 2.5.1 was upgraded to Plone 2.5.5 in the same process.
