Did the build from src.rpm work fine on SuSe 8.0? Did you have to work

This is not caused by Binc IMAP. I guess Mozilla stores its local folders
un /var/spool/mail. Mozilla should not use ~/Maildir/ directly at all,
only indirectly through IMAP.

This is interesting. What version of Mozilla are you using? Was it an IMAP 
folder you tried to create/delete? What do the logs say?
