Just tried the new 1.2.0b1 version of binc, and the speed improvement is
amazing on my system (openbsd 3.3, squirrelmail 1.4.0). v1.1.8 was slow,
v1.1.9 even slower (is my impression while I used it) but it was more
stable.
:) To me at least, 1.2.0b1 is by far the best version out. Keep up the good
work!

Subject: [bincimap] 1.2.0b1 - bugfixes

Here is the first beta for 1.2.0 - 1.2.0b1-1. :-)

- Added the UID COPY patch.
- 20% speed increase in mime parser because of
  improved end-of-line conversion algorithm.
- Fixed a memory leak introduced in 1.1.9.
- Now compiles on more platforms.
- Mac OSX support is still undergoing testing.

Here's the ChangeLog:

Now, 1.2 is a new branch. For 1.2, only bugfixes, documentation and
distribution fixes are made. No more features are introduced unless
these can be regarded as "bugs" unless implemented.

When the reports on 1.2 slow down, I will open 1.3 and we'll start
with extensions, improved cacheing and indexing. Please do submit
patches to the 1.2 branch - these will be added to the contributions
page.

Note that 1.1 is now frozen, which means that no more releases will be
made on that branch. Those who want updates to their 1.1 software will
probably want to look at 1.2.

For your convenience, I've added some hierarchy to the download areas. :-)

Okay - enjoy and keep submitting those bug reports!

Andy :-)
