There has been some work on MySQL checkpassword support, although I never tested it myself. Here's a link to a download page where patches for stock checkpassword are available: http://iain.cx/qmail/mysql/download.html It might be interesting to add to the Binc project a sort of "framework" that makes it easy to write checkpassword authenticators for different languages.
