It's run by our CFO, and apparently our helpdesk guy noted that the CFO was having problems, including connecting to wifi (we use 802.1x, with RADIUS). It turns out that someone else had deleted the computer account in the domain, thinking it was an old unused account. Our helpdesk guy renamed the machine and joined it back to the domain. Here's the weird issue: I'm getting 5723/netlogon errors for the old name on the DCs now. However, both the old and new names were being updated in DNS, (the old name was refreshed on MAR-30, the new name was refreshed yesterday at 17:00) and I can manage the machine remotely via compmgmt.msc under either name. Anyone seen this before? I'm thinking I should just delete the DNS entry for the old name, and it'll be fine, but wanted to hear what others had to say first.
