All mileage is charged in both directions for the length of the trip.
Note, most of our engagements are full day(s), so it isn't typical for us
to visit multiple clients in one day, or even do partial day visits,
although it does happen now and then.  If I have to be onsite for only 1/2
a day, you will get billed for travel time during business hours since that
is now a lost opportunity cost.  I don't think that is unusual, and I do
the vast majority of my work remotely.  In fact, I haven't been onsite with
a client in over a year, but that is unusual for my employer.
