It really depends on the TV and the Laptop. Many TV/s can already do that.
Many laptops can already do that. But we use Actiontec products for this.

Subject: [NTSysADM] OT: conferecne room TV wireless VGA/HDMI

Hi,

Does anyone like a solution that will let anyone come into a conference room
and connect a laptop to a TV across the room? Some kind of
VGA/HDMI/Displayport wireless box that can sit on a conference room table
maybe? I can't worry about driver installs because this client has outside
vendors come in frequently and want to give presentations.

Thanks.

Bill
