There is some stuff buried in the DevOps theme where some videos will mention
operations Manager as a component of an overall strategy. It sounds really
cool but it would be dependent on your company adopting the philosophy. We
have a major in house app where I work and that team seems to have adopted that
idea and it’s amazing how stable their app has become since they get the on
call and ticket alerts. Unfortunately not all groups here are as keen on that
approach 😊.

Found some others I missed in my earlier pass, admittedly I twas late and
ignite wasn’t over.

Haven’t looked at these two yet as they are Azure, they seem to be related to
OpsManager in the cloud which we should at least be aware of so we’re not
ambushed unaware by our various managements.

I will say the Silect MP Author session solidified my need to go back and slog
through Brian Wren's learn the Visual Studio tutorials. They provide a good
tool but their pay for product has more features (classes and process
monitoring) and evidently my companies custom MPs need the extra stuff (process
monitors)

Subject: [msmom] Ignite videos - MP Author video is one of them

For those who may have missed it or not realized it, Microsoft is putting up
the Ignite session videos about as fast as they go.

Came across a few for SCOM
Management Pack Authoring for IT Pros
http://channel9.msdn.com/Events/Ignite/2015/BRK3482
which is also announcing an MP Author SP4 being available May 12th. Haven't
finished the video yet but figured I would just toss it out there.

This sessions not done yet but the description looks interesting.
