The session is online. If you had a specific question, I would try to answer it
– but for a generic question – I recommend you watch the session. ☺

A colleague of mine was at Ignite this year. He mentioned the announcement/demo
of Microsoft's Advanced Threat Analytics product was pretty interesting,
although I don't think he was able to get into the session. I've looked at the
product info on Microsoft's site, just wondering if anyone had any additional
information or opinion on the product.

Here are some of my thoughts on the conference itself.

Not sure if this is true of all conferences of this size (22,000 people) such
as VMWorld, but it seems that there were just too many people. For example the
keynote was given in a flat area, not an arena type of venue. There were plenty
of screens but I think you lose something not even being able to see the
speaker as you would in an arena type of setting.

All sessions were first come first serve for seating. There were many sessions
that I couldn’t attend because they were full by the time I got there. Some
sessions were repeated over the event, but not all. And some had overflow
locations, but again, not all.

The mobile Ignite app was basically broken from Monday until late Tuesday
night. Also when it was working the maps of the conference center were pretty
awful.

The lines for food were ridiculous. The food was mediocre at best, and I think
I’m being kind here.

What did you think about the event itself? I’d be interested to hear from
someone who had no preconceived experience going in.

Anyone else attend Ignite last week?

That was my first MS conference, but there were some very interesting topics:
Conditional access with MFA in Azure.
The Azure Stack
JIT for privileged access.

Thoughts?
