[mssms] ConfigMgr 2012 R2 VHDX support for Task Sequences?

Sorry if this has already been asked. According to blogs and the documentation 
I only see references to VHD format. However, our standard for Hyper-V virtual 
hard disks is the VHDX format. Does anyone know if VHDX's are currently 
supported or if VHDX format will be supported in any of the coming updates?
