If you're asking how we use it, our method is similar to John's. We have a
separate Access db that our hardware team tracks PC replacements/migrations and
all new hardware that is purchased. Then we supplement that with UDA info.
We're looking for a new asset tracking system though. Access just isn't cutting
it anymore. Was hoping that SC Service Manager had an asset management module
but doesn't appear that way, at least not free.

If you're asking what settings we use, here's ours.

We use ours as our inventory system. We manually manage the relationships
between PC's and Users. We don't have a lot of people coming and going lately,
and people don't change PC's. I have SCCM collect Monitor data and have it
also collect currently connected USB printers and scanners. It has pretty much
replaced our Access inventory system. The PC really manages itself for
inventory (when printers or scanners are added/removed). We manage PC's to
people. We also use user affinity to run the software catalog.

I'm curious what everyone out there is using for their user affinity settings.

Thanks,
