I'm a bit confused, do you have the Pro or NON-pro with W8 Pro installed?

I dont care about the OS that it comes with as we have open license.

According to my Surface 3, that’s correct. WPA2 Enterprise with AES only. Which
if I remember correctly is because there was a serious flaw in the TKIP
implementation. At the time the fix/work around was to use AES as it didn’t
have that flaw. I would question why they are still using TKIP. So far my
Surface 3 has performed flawlessly. I have the business model that comes with
Windows Pro 8.1, 4 GB RAM and the 128 GB SSD. I also have the type keyboard and
pen. It’s been great for taking notes. I only have two complaints so far. This
is a personal preference. One, the screen size. I like screen real estate. At
home and work I can plug it into a larger monitor. Two, sometimes I have to try
touching a few times before it works. Must be my large fingers. I recommend the
device for those that do not need the Surface Pro 3. Art DeKneefAvanti

This is for one of our travelers so we're looking to save a bit $$
can anyone confirm if this is true?

I took the first unit back after two days because the display driver kept
crashing. The replacement unit usually worked, but every few days the touch
would stop working or the unit would lock up all together. The wifi driver does
not support WPA2 Enterprise with TKIP, so I simply cannot connect to my work or
school wifi. I returned the unit after the detachable keyboard started freezing
intermittently.
