Rebuilt the driver package with the latest drivers and everything is working
now. Happy Day!

Good! :)

I too had similar issues with drivers with 7020's that Kent referenced below.
Successfully imaged machines, then it suddenly stopped working. I re-downloaded
the driver packs a created new packages. That seemed to do the trick for me.

Curious, can you apply that same NIC driver after installing the OS and have it
work?

If everything BUT the NIC driver is applying, it does sound like the NIC driver
they included could be bad, OR it could be a bad/corrupt SCCM package.

Could also try to download the driver directly from the manufacturer, but
that's not recommended as Dell includes customizations.

This is what we do currently.

If you're not already doing this:
Might I suggest something similar to this
http://www.techygeekshome.co.uk/2012/10/install-drivers-by-computer-model-using.html?

Rather than have SCCM figure out which drivers to auto apply, you can create
specific driver packages, and have SCCM query the WMI for model number. It
makes for a larger image, but removes some of the quirks with the wrong drivers
being applied.

I also pull the individual model driver packs from
http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/enterprise-client/w/wiki/2065.dell-command-deploy-driver-packs-for-enterprise-client-os-deployment

If you are already doing this, log into a affected machine and open a CMD and
type wmic and once it's loaded type CSProduct Get Name ensure the model name
in your TS query is exactly the same as what is listed in your WMIC.

We auto-apply based on the model. The drivers do apply, there just seems to be
an issue with the NIC driver either not existing or perhaps it's the incorrect
driver.

Are you auto applying drivers? Or is this a model specific task sequence?

We are having the same issue with the 9020's.

3020's are failing repeatedly when imaging via ConfigMgr 2012 OSD. After the
apply drivers step in the TS, it loses network connectivity. No IP address
whatsoever. I'm using a recent Windows 7 driver cab from Dell. Anyone else?
