There is a specific section in the SCCM 2012 docs on TechNet for setting it up on Server 2012. Make sure you have checked them out as there are a number of differences over Server 2008.

Discovery ran last night; I was hoping it would find and use the existing WSUS servers but, no, it did not. It's not "seeing" the GPO settings for Updates either. WSUS console is installed.
