One of my clients is an event / production company , (*speaking of Synology specifically), any employee (foreman, tech, installer, etc..) Can open their device login via the Synology app, or ANY web browser , navigate to the job file , i.e. "2015\Winter\Department_Stores\Tiffany's 2015 winter holiday" look for a file ( Floor plan, DJ Booth, the lighting, etc...) and download it on the fly.
