Aiming at a target 1,000 to 1,500 yards downrange, it doesn’t take much scope adjustment to knock the point of aim off the intended target. If the intended point of impact is a business card size area of the head of a hostage taker, it takes very little horizontal movement to move the point of impact on to the hostages head.
