P.S. We also tried disabling all firewalls & antivirus software on the ToughPads. No dice.
We are able to connect (using both Cisco and Shrew clients), but packets are not encrypted. They either bypass the tunnel or are discarded. We can enable logging on the client and debugging on the ASA to try to gain further insight, but I'm very interested in getting others' advice before diving in further. From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Adam Greene Sent: Friday, August 7, 2015 5:23 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [NTSysADM] VPN client / WWAN / ToughPad Hi guys, We're trying to connect some Panasonic FZ-G1 ToughPads running Windows 7 to a Cisco ASA5510 using the Cisco VPN Client 5.0.07.0240. It's an IPSec tunnel. I can connect fine using that Cisco VPN client version from Windows 8.1 on a PC, over a landline. We've tried: - Repairing the VPN client install - Uninstalling VPN client, running Windows ccCleaner, fixing and updating DNE as per http://www.citrix.com/go/lp/dne.html and reinstalling the VPN client - Installing a different client (shrew.net, which works on the 8.1 PC) Nothing works. We can reproduce the issue on another ToughPad. I guess we could see if there is a slightly newer revision of the (no longer supported) Client to try . Any suggestions short of migrating this to a Cisco AnyConnect deployment? Thanks, Adam
