Ok.
I didn’t wait long enough.
Client is still getting 80072f8f errors on the windowsupdates.log.
Time is correct
TimeZone is correct
I don’t see anything?
Could it be the SUP server (WSUS cert)??
I can connect and get the wuident.cab from the selfupdate app?
This is hurting my brain.

Restart the SMS agent services.

Looks like it was an AD GPO for TimeZone.
Someone on the 11th changed it to US Eastern Standard Time not sure who that
was since it was done on the Domain Controller.
Anyway I have the GPO correctly set for Eastern Standard Time and I am no
longer getting the 80072f8f error.
I am just sitting here now waiting on the clients to begin downloading the
updates that apply to them so I can make sure the Clients are pulling from the
correct local DP’s and not the Primary Site SUP.
Any way to make a client move along or do I need to have patience with the SMS
server?

Looking at Sherry's message, have you looked at the last time computer policy
processed on the offending boxes? gpresult, or gpresult /r , no verbose
required, will show when the computer last applied policy. It should be within
2 hours.

I hadn’t googled that one yet.

I was stuck on one in another log about BITS.

I’ll push through this one.

Hi David,

Looking at your UpdatesDeployment.log with CMtrace, are you using this tool?
There are multiple lines with Job error (0x87d00692) received for assignment
({D32216CD-D035-4D8C-A243-2B8D765B632F}) action UpdatesDeploymentAgent
8/12/2015 2:19:09 AM 27276 (0x6A8C)

All I did was remove the unique to this message text

Job error (0x87d00692) received for assignment action UpdatesDeploymentAgent
27276 (0x6A8C)

Using this information in a Google search, multiple results suggest you first
check for a GPO issue! Then they have useful step by steps to find out what
else generates this error.
