Default location, just use group policy pref's to give the users full control
of that directory.

yeah we have the cilents being pushed plus tns name files.

But oracle is such a crappy client.

No one else pushes oracle client? I'm wondering if you have users as standard
users - or if you put it in the default location of c:\oracle.

also wondering how your dealing with win7 and applocker with respect to oracle.

I just pray your not having to still deploy Oracle ADI. If you are, I'm very
sorry.......

In a previous environment, we had used Group Policy Pref's to push out the tns
names file.

Hi Folks,

we are moving to a standard user environment PLUS implemnenting applocker.
Havin ga rough time with Orcacle. I'm sure we are not the only ones to package
up Oracle in a standard way for an enterprise.

How do you folks do it? repackage and install to program files? If so, how do
you deal with tns names ?
