That looks fine. What version of the Base OS MP are you using?

Hi Kevin

Would the way in which we present MVP's play a part in our problem, i.e. the
Backup and VOLMNT_SQLDATA mounted with in the TNGCGMDB_BIN_DISK_F mount volume
point , or should that simply just work as expected?

Thanks

works fine here, on all OS versions:

Subject: [msmom] Server 2012 Logical Disk and Volume Mount Points

Hi

I have the Windows Server 2012 Operating System MP version 6.0.7296.0 installed.
[cid:[email protected]]

I've enabled the discovery "mount point discovery rule" with an override
targeted at "Windows Server 2012 Logical Disk".

I'm now getting mount points coming through, but they're all being listed with
the name of the device identifier
\\?\Volume{a26ad274-4829-11e5-80b5-806e6f6e6963}<file:///\\%3f\Volume%7ba26ad274-4829-11e5-80b5-806e6f6e6963%7d>,
 not the volume label.

Looking closer, I can see that a specific Windows Server 2012 R2 server has 8
or so Volume Mount Points presented by the storage device to the OS as D:\ for
example, then with in that I have a couple more Volume Mount Points presented
as D:\Backup, and D:\SQL_Data as an example.
I would expect to see in the Windows Server 2012 Logical Disk class three
drives for this mount point, D:\, D:\Backup and D:\SQL_Data.

This particular 2012 R2 server lists C:\ and
\\?\Volume{a26ad274-4829-11e5-80b5-806e6f6e6963}<file:///\\%3f\Volume%7ba26ad274-4829-11e5-80b5-806e6f6e6963%7d>,
this appears to be the device identifier for the System Restore drive, these
other mount points are not being discovered.

This is an example of the logical disks for a server in the Windows Server 2008
Logical Disk class

Y:\VOLMNT_SQLDATA_FC

I need to get the Windows Server 2012 Logical Disk to discover the same.

Has anyone run into this, or know how to get it right?

Regards
