Here's an SCCM 2007 package download start/stop report I've used in the past
to help answer some questions. Systems that take longer for packages may be
on misconfigured boundaries, congested networks, etc.

Declare @__timezoneoffset int

select @__timezoneoffset = datediff(ss,getutcdate(),getdate())

select sm.MachineName, DATEADD(ss,@__timezoneoffset,sm.time) as 'Time',
sm.messageID, asi.MessageName, smis.insstrvalue from v_statusmessage sm

join v_advertisementstatusinformation asi on asi.MessageID = sm.MessageID

join v_statMsgInsStrings smis on smis.RecordID = sm.RecordID

where

(

sm.messageID = '10023'

or

sm.messageid = '10024'

)

and smis.insstrvalue like '%CCC065F3%'

and datediff(D,DATEADD(ss,@__timezoneoffset,sm.time),getdate()) < 2

order by sm.MachineName, DATEADD(ss,@__timezoneoffset,sm.time)

if you are running Configmgr 2012 R2,there is builtin report to tell about
Distribution point usage summary. have a look at this report RDL file and
customise it if more needed. If you are running CM07,there is no bultin
reports and must tweak it using the IIS logs .

Sounds these are some of the regular challenges SCCM Admins face, hence I
hope for some info out there.

1) How many clients (or average # of clients per day or week or so)
connect to a DP and their info. If possible how much they download the
content in size, either direct or thru IIS

2) When network team complains say a client with IP 1.2.3.4 talks over
WAN/Slow link to a SCCM DP, a query to help find which that client ideally
should talk to ( to come from Client, DP, Boundaries put together I guess)

Thanks, Vasu
