Thank you for answering Daniel

now it goes into endless loop: starting (blue window bitmap), then black window
for about one minute and then starting again...

I give up for today, after 14 hours in the office it's time to go home
sleeping...

Boot up to repair, open the cmd prompt, and disable repair. This should allow
you to boot up to Windows. Now if Windows wont load, that's a different issue.

bcdedit /set '{default}' bootstatuspolicy ignoreallfailures
bcdedit /set '{default}' recoveryenabled No
bcdedit /set '{current}' bootstatuspolicy ignoreallfailures
bcdedit /set '{current}' recoveryenabled No

Subject: [mssms] urgent help needed -- server crashed

sorry for posting here but I have a really bad situation.
just before going to the weekend I decided to reboot the sccm 2012 r2 site
server (windows server 2012 r2)
but it won't come up, instead it starts repair mode

I have tried safe mode, start last known good configuration, sfc /scannow,
bootsect /nt60 g: /mbr
nothing helps, it always reboots to repair mode screen ("Choose an option" -
Continue/Troubleshoot/Turn off your PC)
the server is on a vmware host.

please somebody has any more ideas?? I am lost!!!

thanks
Reto
